01 / SEEDING

Pick a better start.

A seven-day view checks each date, and the two days after it, for soil conditions, frost, heat, and heavy rain — matched to the grass you chose.

02 / SOIL

Know the ground.

See a current shallow-soil estimate for your location, with ECMWF and NOAA model details available when you want them.

03 / GRASS

Water the right days.

See how much to put down each time, which days to do it, and the total across the next seven days — already adjusted for the rain that has fallen.

04 / TIMING

Track accumulated warmth.

Track daily air warmth after a PGR application. Weed-prevention timing uses local soil-temperature trends, not an air-GDD threshold.

Home Screen widgets show soil and watering summaries. Siri Shortcuts can log or undo watering.

ROADMAP

What’s ahead for Turfsy.

Current priorities and planned improvements.

  1. Now

On the way to the App Store

Preparing for launch: final app and device validation, licensed weather setup, the App Store listing and screenshots, and Apple review are still ahead.

  2. Next

    Exploring fertilizer timing

This is an area we may explore. No feature or release date is promised.

  3. Ongoing

    Feedback-driven refinement

Keep improving Turfsy from user feedback. Published guidance is cited, while planning screens are identified as Turfsy choices.

Message from the dev

Turfsy started with a question I could never get a straight answer to: how much should I actually water my lawn this week?

Most advice is a rule of thumb. An inch a week, water in the morning. That is not wrong, but it does not know whether it rained on Tuesday, how hot it has been since, or what grass is actually growing in your yard.

So I built the thing I wanted. Turfsy uses modeled soil-temperature and weather estimates for a location to help plan lawn care. When it does not know something, it says so instead of guessing — I would rather show you a blank than a number I cannot stand behind.

I am building Turfsy independently, and its published guidance is cited, and planning screens are identified as Turfsy choices rather than validated thresholds. It is not finished. Your feedback is what tells me what to fix first.

Thanks for taking a look. I hope it saves you some water, and some second-guessing.
