Data on your device

Turfsy does not require an account. Saved locations, lawn profiles, watering logs, preferences, and cached readings are stored on your device. Widget data is shared locally between the app and its widget. Device backups may include this data depending on your Apple settings.

Location and weather

You can choose a location manually or grant access to your current location. Turfsy does not track your location in the background. Apple’s location and geocoding services help resolve locations.

To retrieve conditions, the app sends station identifiers to NOAA and USDA services. Requests to Open-Meteo use coordinates rounded to two decimal places. These providers receive network information, such as your IP address, when the app connects. Their own privacy practices apply.

Purchases and notifications

Apple processes any in-app purchases. Turfsy uses purchase status to manage access to purchased features and does not receive payment card details. Optional lawn reminders are scheduled on your device after you allow notifications.

Analytics

Turfsy does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Apple may provide app analytics or diagnostics according to your device and App Store settings.

This website and support

Cloudflare hosts this website and provides security checks and email routing. It processes connection information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and protect the site. The support form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to limit spam.

If you contact support, your message and any reply address you provide are delivered to our support inbox through Cloudflare and Gmail. We use this information to respond to your request and investigate issues. Please avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for support.

Managing your data

You can change location and notification permissions in iOS Settings. Removing the app removes its local app data, subject to device backups and data shared with its widget. To request deletion of support correspondence, email support@turfsy.app.
